Default How to broil steak?

what are your recipes for broiled steak? i have a couple of steaks but suck at cooking? thanks HAN chefs.

pepper, salt, garlic powder, a drip of cooking oil ... cook it for 9 minutes, flip it ... come back in 5, and you should be done.

mccormick makes these bomb maranade mixes. you can find them in the spices section. they are called grillmates or something.

use that if you dont wanna mix up your own concoction. you just add some oil and water and soak the steaks for as long as you have (put em in the maranade the night before ftw :yumyum: )

im partial to using garlic and fresh lemon juice, along w/ some kosher salt and pepper and some olive oil. man, now im craving steak :hs:

should i cook it as close to the fire as possible or a couple of racks down? why 9 min. on 1 side and 5 min. on the other? how long for medium rare? thanks.
