I find decent stripped button ups with jeans and black shoes will do the trick if you dont feel like dressing as a yuppie.

I went through a phase like that, bought like $400 worth of clothes, now they're a little snug :hsugh:

once I get rid of 30lbs, I'll start sporting the threads

Thats the problem. I dont want to feel like a yuppy. I still want to feel "me" withouth having to give into a certain "look". I know, it sounds hypocritical but damn if I cant help for wanting to look good.

my style is pretty laid back, jeans, t-shirts, buttonups at work, flipflops always.
i think the key to keepin the style up with casual clothes is to make sure it fits well
even a $100 will look like shit if it doesnt fit your body, try finding a few decent shirts and some good jeans that are in your style but that fit your body really well, dont worry about the brand or price of clothes, worry about how you look in the stuff
ive spent too much money on brand name crap that fits like shit, and too little on cheap brands that fit well and actually look good on me
but some on some level we are all brand whores, honda/acura anyone?

getting metrosexual up in here :reechy:

if you dont want to spend too much hit up marshalls or ross. i seen some decent shirts for cheap there.

you can also step it up to fake burberry shirts on ebay or chinatown.

theres also department store/outlet store sale racks. scored a $15 lacoste once. also got a banana republic shirt for like 70% off. score!

then when youre ready... call up eddie and hit up south coast. then stop by albertsons for some gel. :exnbp:

I still have one or two suits ....somewhere around here...probably need refitting.

Hardly ever needed them in the past 4 or 5 years though. All my functions are extremely casual and usually involves a BBQ and beer or a bunch of grease and lifting work.

I suppose it depends on the industry you are in as to what is considered casual and dress. even the big dogs in my industry show up in jeans and tshirts to company dinners.
