I've been kinda on edge lately...
...and I've had no idea why, but something occurred to me just now as I was watching the Wizards-Cavaliers game. It's because of the NBA playoffs. The Wizards and Cavs have been playing a real close series and the games have all been nail-biters. Being a native son of the DC area I really want to see the Wizards do well, and I've watched every game so far.
I find myself cursing at LeBron James through the tv on a regular basis, and in general just getting way too bent out of shape over these basketball games. So much so, that throughout the day I have this low-lying sense of a nicotine craving even when I don't actually have a nicotine craving.
Now that I've realized where this stress is coming from, I'm having a little more success in calming my nerves. But seriously, come on Wizards, just friggin win so I can relax already!!!

Man... Laker playoff time is not my best time of the year. I work with one other person in my office who I've known since 1989. The only thing that didn't have us completely off our rockers is knowing that any team down 3 to 1 in a best of 7, is BOUND to win. All that kept us going is the hope that we close it on Thrusday. I feel you.

I thought the Bullets were cooler too. But, when they moved from the suburbs into the actual city (Chinatown, in fact) they wanted to change the name. Kinda backfired if you ask me, because even when the Bullets were crappy the games always sold out, but when they changed to the Wizards the ticket prices went up and attendance went down. It only finally picked back up when Michael Jordan came to town, and since then now that they're a semi-decent team in the playoffs for the second year in a row. But, it's done been changed for a while now, so I live with it.
As for anything else possibly being the cause of my stress, nah. It's definitely the Wizards.
