is there a way to do print screen on just one pop up window rather then the whole screen?

ALT + CTRL + Print Screen

It grabs the active window only.

you could use just ALT + print screen. That works too

well then my pc must be special because ALT + print screen takes a shot of my active screen while just print screen takes a shot of the entire screen.

no, yours is mess up. ALT + Printscreen takes picture of the current window, NOT the entire monitor screen. I've been using this for years.
