w...t...f. i need some advice. :/
Ok, so earlier today I limped my Accord to Car-X to get some things checked out a bit. The car had been in an accident so a lot of stuff was damaged. https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...d.php?t=232354
Anyway, I explained to them how the car had been wrecked and how I just wanted to get a quote on fixing the crooked back wheel and suspension damage. So I get a ride home from someone and about 2 hours later the shop calls me back. They say they were test driving the car after looking it over and the hood came up and hit the windshield and cracked it even more. Then when I get there the manager is trying to get me to sign a release of liability form so that they're not responsible for anything. I don't sign it and tell them I will have the car towed later on today. The windshield is pretty bad now. There's even a few pieces of glass inside the car. I hope it doesn't rain.
I knew when I took the car in that the hood wasn't very well secured but I drove really slowly with my hazards on to get it there, which is about 1/2 mile from my apartment, and they never told me that they were actually going to have to drive it. So what do I do now? Is it the Car-X's responsibility to pay for the new windshield or is it mine?

i say its their responsibility, especially if you didnt sign a waiver for liability. i mean did they tell you that they were gonna try to drive it around themselves? id try to get them to take full responsibility.

No, they never said anything about having to drive it around. Plus, wouldn't they check things over a bit? I mean, I'm taking a wrecked car in to get looked at. They probably gunned it out of the parking lot or something stupid. h:
