paris public transport is based on zones... SO depending on how much you want to visit you need a pass. They have the "paris visite" card. that card is available for 1,2,3 or 5 days. They dont have to be sequential days. click this link and look at the first table to get the prices.Paris Visite

YOu should also check out the "carte de musees et monuments" that card give you free access to these museum and buldings
. if you get this card you can same time as you will have priority access to the sites, a 1 day pass is 18euros and a 3 days pass is 36euros.

i forgot if you get the Paris visite card with a zone above 3 your transport and an from the Aeroport(orly and Charles de Gaulle) will be included. http://www.ratp.fr/ that explains the passes but it's in french.

if you look at the prices for the transport pass they sell them in 3 zones.

1-3 your aeroport transportation will not be included
1-5 aeroport included
1-8 Aeroport included
