iPod question
A friend of my daughters brought over her 30 gig video so she could snake some music off my comp.
so I hook it up and for some reason it won't read her iPod. First it said it needed the firmware upgrade, so I ran it with no problem and it still said it could not read her iPod nor would it show up on the list.
So I figure maybe it's my software and I update it as well and get the same issue. So I plug in my daughters 2 gig Nano which I have never had issue with and it won't show up in the devices list and gives me the same error.
WTF?? I have never had an issue reading either of these machines. I also tried usinf Winamps Mlipod plugin to get into it and it allows me into the Nano but not the 30 gig vid.
So has anyone had any issues like this before?

Hmmm...well interestingly enough, I ran the firmware upgrade on my friends ipod mini for him this weekend. And I get this message, telling me I have to plug it into a wall charger..wtf? The damn thing will not function, unless it's plugged into one...and of course noone has a wall charger because we all charge ours through usb or firewire...
