 (token spider thread)
It seems like every year a new spider shows up around here. Two years ago it was these big fat orange ones that would make their web from a tree on one side of the driveway to the other and I would walk into them at night and "eghahegAHAHAHH!". Last year it was these black and yellow onesthat would spin webs that are solid in the middle and look like banjo's. This year...we'll see.
Couple days ago I was in a meeting and this tiiiiny little spider comes down from the ceiling next to this one girl. She FREAKS out and was screaming and squirming and in general didn't know what to do with herself. Then the dude who was sitting next to her freaks out too, and I'm sitting over on my end of the table thinkin man that thing is tiny. So the girl and the freaked out dude both are yelling at the guy next to them, "DO SOMETHING! GET IT WITH YOUR SHOE@!!!" like if he doesn't get it they're going to die. So he walks over and steps on it and that was the end.
Some people are poosays. Honestly, the things are terrified of you, you're hundreds of times bigger than it. I don't see why people are so afraid of them? Sure it sucks to get stuck in webs, it's a pain to get it off of you. But honestly, unless you're dealing with a brown recluse, or a black widow, chill the f*** out. We used to catch camel spiders in Iraq for fun and pit them against other wildlife:
