naw i dont know shit about apples and i barely know anything about PC. so i didnt read the original post just trying to start some sort of dicussion... but now that i read it, maybe some the reasons why they are the same price is the wieght, battery life and size. I know alot of people who would'nt want to get a 17" and that would want to keep it small.
I mean if they really want to go with apple for whatever reason (used to it,branding, blah blah...) i am guessing they wouldn't mind paying more for what YOU/this guy considers to be less... NOt every one really cares abouT DVD speed and Firewire 800... keep in mind that the majority(dont have figures i am actually guessing here) of the buyers dont know shit about computers enought to really car about what this guys is talking about. all they know that they need to use the thing, and carry it so battery life and size maters more. But i agree it might be time to put the prices hey i think it might just be "good" marketing.
