So, up at college I would cook myself an amazing salmon dinner with blackened salmon steak, lemon & garlic couscous, and steamed broccoli. Up there I could buy salmon steaks, however, down here all stores sell this fucking salmon filet. I don't want the effin filet, I want the steak. So I ask the meats dude "Why doesn't anyone sell salmon steaks around here anymore?" He responds, "They weren't selling that much because people claimed they looked unappetizing because of the skin. Personally, I liked the steaks too but the company sends us filets now"

I am mad.

I had flounder once, it wasn't that great - rather bland. Trout is eh. Salmon is by far my favorite.

There are only 4 different grocery stores in this town of the damned - Giant, Redner's, Weis, and Clemens. All have filets only.

There is a fish market *I think* but they are only open on Sunday.

 

I just ate a half a pound of smoked Salmon saturday while out wheeling :drool:
