I want to get a bigger tank for my piranhas when I move out. Then start up a good sized saltwater tank and another freshwater tank.

Nice setup mang. Are these things high maintenance? I've always wanted one.

I'll elaborate on this one....picked up a full setup used for $75. The damn tank leaked

Then, since we had the stand and everything else, bought a new tank for $90 and used the stand, pumps etc that we got used. good deal still overall.

Since we're getting them all as very small babies, they'll be fine together. All very aggressive fish. Thankfully they're all behaving very well b/c there is so much territory and should be fine. they're all about 1" right now. The tiger will get to be 10" plus, the JD will be about the same. The others will get to be between 6-8"

Tanks are rediculously heavy. That one is about 625 lbs when full

Fish tanks are lower maintenance than you'd think. As long as you don't overfeed and use a big enough filter. I actually have 2x as much filtration as I need b/c they're messy eaters. Past that, vacuum the tank as needed and scrub algae as needed. I'd take the fish over our cats anyday.

freshwater tanks are pretty easy to keep up. I'm not gonna bother with a new one until I'm a homeowner though h:
