Sydeshow
What the fuck is this horse shit??????
A sideshow consists of nearly 30+ vehicles (usually 70's, 80's) Caddys, Lincolns, Caprice, Monte Carlo, Nova, etc - candy paint, raised a ridiculous height off the ground, and like 24" chrome rims. Now the particular demographic of the crowd is your substandard citizen of African American decent. Pretty much, the inhabitants of your neighborhood ghetto.
Now get this, I was driving and all of a sudden we came upon an intersection. Every direction was blocked off by these people's cars (parked sideways) while people in the middle were doing donuts, fighting, etc. Some unlucky bystanders who happen to pull up behind these people had their car vandalized by the unruly crowd. This went on for nearly 35 minutes until a police helicopter arrived which scared them all away. We couldn't even turn around because of the traffic behind us.
This reminds me of the Fast and The Furious where they blocked off the roads for the illegal drag racing scene. But still, no ones car got messed up and it was only for like a couple of minutes (seconds in Dom's mind when he decides to live his life a 1/4 mile at a time). Not to mention, it was a fucking movie.
It sounds surreal but its not a joke. There is no order or control, let alone a presence of authority (police). If I had to, I could carry a gun in my car and if it came down to it - shoot someone and have a REALLY good chance of getting away with it. Only if my life were to be in danger.
Would it be hypocritical to say that street racing is less a threat? Or possibly even more since many people die (innocent or not) due to streetracing.
Your thoughts.
