AC Compressor Clutch Screeching

Hey guys, is it true that a low freon level can cause AC compressor pulley/clutches to screech?

particularly in a 97 CRV.

i dont think it would affect the pulley "screeching"...

this sucks. i just did her timing belt and water pump and the belts, and this happens.

its unrelated but of course i'll get that "it didnt do that before?"

only reason why mine "screeched" is that it was loose
