Default I love yelling at unruly cyclists.

Just now I was coming home from the mall. Had to pick up some bday present related stuff for my sister. It's a nice evening so I had the top down. I got to the intersection that my building is at the corner of, stopped at the stop sign, and put my left-turn blinker on.

This idiot on a bike was coming from the other direction, and he was clearly thinking about going straight on through the intersection, but he hesitated a bit. I took advantage of the opportunity and made my turn for which I had the right of way. Bicycle rider man didn't really ever stop, and he rode right by the side of my car while I made the turn.

As he did, he held up one arm like I was supposed to have let him go through the intersection because he's on his bike. I disagreed with his opinion and yelled as I was leaving him, "hey dumbass, it's called a STOP sign!" As I pulled into my driveway I think I heard him say, "what the fuck?" back to me.

Now, I got no problem with bicycle riders sharing the streets with us cars. What does piss me off is if they hold up traffic, or if they choose not to follow standard traffic controls like stop signs, just because they don't have a motor. If they inconvenience me, I let em know about it.

Bikes still gotta stop at stop signs, and if I'm waiting at a stop sign in a car, that doesn't mean a bike can just fly through the intersection. You wanna come play in traffic with the cars, follow the same rules as the cars.

No damage to my car, he didn't touch it. Just came close.

As a former cyclist, I agree with your perspective, Mike.
They deserve a reality check..
