Default Dental Insurance Rant

Well my front tooth was knocked out in the winter of 1998, so i had to get a root canal and a crown done...that was taken care of when i was younger for free...Now i am 19 and in need of a replacement crown for my tooth..I call up the dentist and the price is well over $600....then i call the insurance company and they said im not eligible for coverage on the replacement til September of 07!!!!! That coverage in 07 is only 50% so i've been paying roughly $7 a week since 90 days after i started working at my current job so roughly i've paid them $300....and to get my tooth fixed is prolly gonna cost me around 800 out of pocket...unless i can wait another year and a half

Cliffs: Tooth needs replaced should i wait til 07 or do it now without insurance help

Maybe go in to a dentist and see if he thinks it needs to be replaced? If you were told like 8 years ago that you'd have to replace it now, it might still have a year of life left in it.

I feel your pain. I'm getting 2 crowns done next week and it's gonna cost me 900 out of pocket. I had my wisdom teeth done in december and it only cost 260, WTF!? I have delta dental.

boo fucking hoo. i pay 282 a month for insurance out of my pocket and i have no dental. just medical. everytime i go to the dentist its 80 bucks for 3 cavities it was 120.

for a single person the plans for dental suck and its not worth it.
