Default I am a dumb ass!

Yup im a dumb ass. Well i had to put an oil pan on the teg this weekend. Never had to do that before, so i jack the car up in the front yard and hop under to take a look. Mistake #1 I jacked it up with the factory jack on a hill. Mistake #2 I did not put any braces or anything under it (which i normally do) So i hopped under it to take a look and BAM the car falls on me. LUCKLY im a rather small person (145lbs 5'9) so i hit the dirt and i didnt think it hit me to bad. But today i have a really bad sore place on my head, so i dunno. Im sure i would remember it if the car fell on my head! Anyways, theres my story, and yea i know im a dumb ass for not bracin it. I was just hoppin under real quick to take a look.........

Cliff notes... im a dumb ass, car fell on me (maybe) cause i didnt brace it when i jacked it up!

Werd. I usually jack my car up with the floorjack. Set it on jackstands, then raise the floor jack up to support the car as a back up.

Same. Parking brake, jackstands, sometimes chucks under whatever wheels are on the ground, jacked up a little higher and I'm still freaked out.

I use the all metal ramps, drive up on the ramps, brace the rear wheels, parking brake, and leave it in gear. I am ALL too safe when it comes to me getting underneath a 3000lb. car.

I am always reluctant to get under a car, even if it is on a hydraulic lift. It's like being stepped on by a giant's boot if it were to fall, not fun.
