hell, i'm just as guilty. i bitch here, but in real life, i feel too helpless to do anything. i feel like it won't make any difference. that, and that i'll be labeled as a racist, or some stupid shit.

yeah im pretty much with you. unfortunately, most people are afraid to even talk about this stuff for fear of offending somebody. perhaps if it were more socially acceptable to attack political issues in public or with coworkers, as a society, we'd be more likely to group and push issues the way we want them.

it is. it's infuriating. our representatives don't represent us at all.

look at this shit.. they want the right to be here, but then they do this shit:

so do you want to be an american? or do you just want the benefits but would just rather spit on the nation? looks like the latter to me.

Now this is going in the right direction. What will shooting the illegals do? You gotta point the sights to the person in charge that is allowing all of this. (Only is you dont support the issue :hs: )

I think there should be a mass protest by Americans by flooding across the border by the thousands into Mexico and fucking up their economy and stealing their jobs.

actually, last week there was a gathering in MA protesting the illegals.. i think the number of people that showed were at least a thousand, maybe in the thousands.

impressive for a state as liberal as MA.

of course, guess what they were labeled as... and guess how much news coverage they got...

i also think, if these illegals are granted amnesty, all legal immigrants should sue the federal government for the money and time they spent going through the proper process.

my brother has spent a considerable amount of time, money, and energy, getting everything in line to register her wife as a legal immigrant, and to get her green card. looks like he should have gotten in a crowd waiving a taiwanese flag instead.

such bullshit.
agreed...
my parents have spent thousands to get my siblings here * 3 of us* its taken over 10+yrs for my sister to get here cuz shes doing it the legal way. she'll be coming here next year if everything goes and flows smoothly with the papers. and i agree with johns comment about the taxes

No you are right. I still think my 50 cal turrets along the border is a good idea and will stand by it if elected to office h:

But this country has become apathetic to any real issue, we have been taught to play dead if any issue more sensitive than "what color to paint the white house" comes up.

No one is seeing this as an issue of national security but everyone keeps saying homeland security is needed.

They don't vote and our politicians listen to them.

They don't pay taxes but get better health coverage than citizens do.

When they want a vacation they call INS and get a free ride home, then return when they want to.

I say they and at this point I mean illegal immigrants, mainly hispanic in this case. I suppose I shoul reitterate that I am not racist in any way but I am strongly against illegal immigration regardless of country of origin.

my parents immigrated legally as well. my uncle, aunt, and a couple of cousins. they went through the proper channels, and it think it took my cousins as long as your sister, rico.

so, what makes these illegals special that they deserve to get ahead of everyone else? oh, they broke the law.. they snuck across the border. i guess that makes it ok then.

edit > agreed on all points, jon.

I would direct my anger towards the politicians that is allowing for this, not the ones taking advantage of their "kind hearts" ( :reechy: ). I mean look at it from the illegal's prespective....if you are hungry and see a loaf of bread, youre gonna steal that shit.
