Default DVD authoring software?

hey guys,

i'm looking for some kind of DVD authoring software where i can put together a menu and make avi movies into the chapters, for play in regular DVD players.

you guys know of any good software out there that i can do this with? thanks!

you can do all that with Nero

:chuckles: i think i might have nero somewhere actually, but i don't know if it's the full suite. i just downloaded a trial version of tmpg, and am going to try that.

so apparently i have to convert my AVI's to something compatible, huh?

this looks like a huge pain in the ass to accomplish.

tmpeg encoder and dvd-lab is a rocking combo. but they're not freeware

well duh you cant author avi h:

authoring is the easy part.... converting is the tedious one.
