I work with a bunch of engineers ( mechanically, electrical, etc...)

This guy is sitting during lunch and hes just staring at this box full of tools ( pencils, triangles, etc... drafting stuff)i asked him what he was up to and apparently he couldnt figure out why he couldnt open it... i examine it and see that theres clear tape on the side, i pull it off and open the box... :chuckles: he looks at me and i smile and just go on with my business eating my sammich h:

i found it funny

Oh trust me, I've seen toooooo many smart ppl acting like that. Like they only know best in their field.

 

A lot of my teachers are like that. They are so preoccupied with other stuff, the simple things in life are difficult. I think even Einstein had problems remembering phone numbers, even his own.

 

Engineers do lack common sense. My dad is one of them.

My dad can figure out physics problems (I guess, we never talk about it) but he can't work the DVD/VCR to tune to cable channels.

i go to a school for engineering :hsugh:

We have a Hobo dyer map (upside down) where i work, with our school slogan Why not change the world? written in 18 different languages to shape the continents. Grad Students, and even the faculty cant figure out what it is without asking.

Today a 14 year old came in and knew exactly what it was.
