and fyi, a broker is a middle man in a transaction. you cant be just "a broker"... you gotta be a broker in a certain field. loan broker, insurance broker, real estate broker, etc.
 i DID submit my resume to monster.com more than a YEAR ago when i was just starting my last yr in college, but i never applied to anything directly. the only other times i ever gave out my resume were to the two companies ive worked for since graduation. could that be where he got it from?

and thanks for the info. makes a little more sense now.

a friend of mine got his job at citibank through an ad in the local newspaper. citi opened a new call center a few yrs ago and they hired him. citi contacted him and he had to go through a temp agency to be hired. once he successfully made it through the probationary period citi hired him. that is how the call center hires employees.

Did he mention the name Primerica? If so its bullshit. My friend was trying to pull me into it and even quite his job to do it...that was almost six months ago hes made about $300, but spent over $500. He was one of my best friends, but I just cant talk to him anymore, he sounds phony as hell when he talks now and he always talks about the place like its his pass to heaven.

well guys, after reading these comments and coming back from the gym, i had a lot of time to think about it and i called it off.

the guy was just way too general and vague about the whole situation. he never explicitly told me how he got my contact info and even called me by Dan when he first called me (my legal name is SungEun and NO one calls me by that name even @ interviews), implied that the job is commission based and id have to "make my own moves forward" and could be making 6 figs 'soon' enough, told me the supervisor of their 4-man team was pulling in $25k a month, and never fully explained what id be applying for.

all in all, i dont think it would be worth my time. i doubt he'd ask me to invest my own money up front, but i have a feeling i could go a few months working for him w/o getting paid hardly anything. spending forever hunting down clients or whatever doesnt seem like my type of groove. plus ive worked hard to get to where i am now, and even though the job itself isnt the greatest, i REALLY enjoy the people i work w/.

so i called him up and said screw you h: thanks for everyones input.
