Default Online used car sites?

Is there some I am missing? So far I've gone through these with a fine toothed come and came up mostly empty in search of cheap non shitheap EG hatches.

craigslist is probably the best one for your scenario... remember, you're looking for what the average consumer would consider a worthless heap... therefor the person selling it will not go through any significant lengths to advertise it, and will rely on word-of-mouth and shop bulletins. Free websites, local forums, local publications, and shop bulletin boards. :happysad:

There isn't a single within 100 miles of CT. I've exhausted all of my recources. My next best bet is spending a day driving around CT looking for cars on front lawns.

your problem is your fucking rush. With needs as specific as yours, you should bargain on probably three months to find something that suits your needs and is reasonably priced. It took me about that long to stumble upon my EF, and my search perameters were MUCH wider than yours.

I can't go without a car for 3 months. Sure I could just go out and buy a random shit heap to drive around then I would have no money and a totaled sedan sitting in my driveway and after I do find a hatch I would be out of more money and then I would have a totaled civic and a shitheap in my driveway.

You can always check out auto auctions. There's one going next week, a 94 DX with 108,000 miles on the clock for $800.

that isn't going to change market conditions any. Use your favors, borrow your cousin's car, do what you need to do. If you "need a clean EG hatch with a good body this week," you're either going to be incredibly lucky or incredibly dissapointed.
