Default Need opinions on Mazda RX-8

Hey guys,

Ive got a guy really interested in my car so ive been looking around. Ive been looking for an rsx-s but they are really hard to come by in good condition in my area. there is however a 2004 mazda rx-8 with 24k miles on it. the salesman can give it to me for $18,9. what do you guys think? my roommate suggested that and buy a beater for winter because of the rear wheel drive and traction control. any known problems with this car? any comments/suggestions/opinions welcome!

16MPG = completely unacceptable. Plus they have a ton of other little problems like cold start issues. Not a good car to buy if you're used to Honda reliability and economy.

They're good cars, I like them.

Their strong point is handling.

It basically comes down to buying this RX-8 or waiting for an rsx-s.

unless something else in my 20k price range comes up.

im also open to other car suggestions as well.
