the thing that sucks is i don't have a garage or frontyard anymore...i do the basic work (brake pads, rotors, rotate tires, spark plugs, wires dist cap, rotor, etc) and have done it since i owned the car. now, without the garage or anywhere to really work on it, things like the brake pins, mount, etc are pretty much out of the question. luckily, the reason i don't have a garage is i moved for a great job that pays well enough that i am not complaining about getting "raped" by the garage. i understand with every job they do for me what it would cost if i got the parts myself and did the work myself, and make the decision based on that.
don't get me wrong...i am not complaining, just wanted to hear some of what i have heard about these things not being unexpected. it sucks to know the rust is probably more of an internal problem that is now off the fix list, though.
if there is anyone in the cincy area that is interested in helping out with these kinds of things in the future for beer, i'm all ears.
