mine is like that too i just use a bit of milk, not really sure why i just learned it like that h: sometimes i like putting a bit of honey in the mix. then i fry the shit out of it i mean i dont like them dry french toas i use a bit of butter a bit of olive oil heat it up and fry it!

Eggs 4 extra large
Milk 1 cup
Pure Vanilla Extract 2 tablespoons
Almond Extract about a 1/4 teaspoon OR Orange Extract about a 1/4 teaspoon
Sugar about a teaspoon
Mix well, get out a 1/2 sheet cake pan
Place 8-10 slices of bread in pan, cover with the custard, let set overnight
Place in 350* Oven in morning, bake until nicely browned.
Serve with your favorite syrups or jellies.
