Default My PC without a case... Picture!

Heh....dude that put up the electronic device thing reminded me of this picture that I still have. I had sold my case to a person that needed it before I got my replacement case in the mail. So what did I do? I just put my pc on my desk until I got the new case. This is most of what my current pc consists of..some hard drives have been added since then but mostly all the same. Just now it's in a case. It was really quiet too when it was out like that, mostly because i didn't have fans. Anyway...thought you might like to see. As you can see I have 6 hard drives and 2 optical drives....right now I have 5 in my current workstation pc but some drives have moved to my other pc. This was also 2 years ago...i don't live there anymore or have the same desk.

no, its actually completely fine, as long as you don't spill anything on it... but even then, thats the same as if you had a case.

i used to run my computer open like that as well.. cept i mounted everything onto my wall with screws (imagine all your computer components hanging from your wall, and the only way to turn it on is to jump circuits )

i've always wanted to do that! but the problem always was the stupid configuration of expansion card slots like video card and such..you would have to build a custom mount plane for it...blah..too much trouble for what it's worth. it would be a good "show and tell" for guests though. heh

heh...you would not believe the amount of pc's out there with over 10lbs of dust in them..people never even think about cleaning out their pc's. people think that since it's in a case...it's immune from dust. the fans bring in dust at an astronomical rate...i clean my pc's out once a month with my compressor...and alot of dust comes out..i cant imagine going 2 or 3 years without cleaning out my pc...but people do it..and they wonder why their pc's overheat and screw up.
