Ebay sucks like that. Everytime someone bids at the end the time should be increased by like 15 minutes. There's no point to starting an auction with a low price, I just start them with the min price I want to get and use a buy it now for a price over the maximum I think it's worth.

even if it weren't for this program (which was shown to me 3 months ago), I've been manual sniping on eBay for 6 or 7 years now.

I like to snipe because it doesn't give anyone time to react. I lock in the price before anyone can get another shot in. Cons ... if I blow the price, I don't have the opportunity to up the price.

Oh I know the benefits to the person sniping. I did it a few times. But it's just not right.

I think the bidding should continue untill all bidding has stopped and noone wants to make any more offers.

I've lost way too many good things because of sniping and that's one of the reasons I don't really use ebay anymore.

Sniping is just part of the game. That's why there is a set time limit for the auction. Everyone has their chance to get their bids in within that time frame.

Yea, but if someone snipes with a $4,000 snipe bid in the last 5 seconds and it's a $10 item.... that's not really fair. Doesn't really make it fair for anyone else trying to make a legit bid.

Stupid really. Proxy bid is always the way to go. Always bid your max. If I lose an auction its not because I was sniped, it's because someone was willing to pay more for the item than me.
