I think you can put just about anything in miata. I believe I saw a chevy v8 swap in one.

btw, that looks like custom engine bay job. Did he weld around the engine?

At the track I know of 2 Miatas with small blocks and one its boosted. Ive also seen an old body style Rx7 with a 302 supercharged in it...wicked fast as well.
