I've worked hard in H.S. and I see this as a nice reward for myself. Im pretty sure you wouldn't turn this down in my position. My parents simply said. We'll get you a new car for graduation. I understand how you all are like: HS + s2k = dead. But I have learned already from my previous speeding ticket experience and I have been driving safely ever since. You can't really say all this shit about me when you don't know anyhting about me. I just want to know your opinions on what car would be more enjoyable since you all probably know a lot more about them then me.
Ofcourse no one would turn down the offer, it is the mistake of the parents. Judging by who you surround yourself with, your going to do stupid shit. Just because you got a ticket doesnt mean your going to stop speeding, probably not go AS fast, but you're still going to do it, especially in these kinds of cars. You're young, you're going to do it, I've been driving for 4 years now and I'm still doing stupid shit. But a new car for HS... jigga please even if you took all AP classes, they aren't that hard and REALLY not deserving of a new car. I was full IB (was because I got kicked out of a class but now in AP calc for that ) and find it easy We don't need to know you to know the shit you will do or the mistakes your parents are making. You have shown us who you surround yourself with so conclusions are obvious.

all in all go with the S2k stay safe dude.

If I wanted an S2000, I could have gotten one on my own. It's not that. It's just surprising that parents have such poor judgement, I don't care what arguement you make.

Since your argument centers around calling those who advocate restraint "douche bags"... kindly piss off.

There is a difference between helpful advice saying "some kid who is graduating high school doesn't deserve/can't handle a 350z/s2k". Frankly, that isn't advocating restraint. Thats simply disdain for a young kid having a nice car.
