Default Has anyone ever replaced a car window like this?

So our Camry got broken into. Luckily (I guess) they broke the small triangular window to get in. They went through everything in the car...took a few small items including the ash tray...but ditched all the coins on the floor. They even went through the glove box, but took nothing. And for the kicker, they left a pair of pants on the passenger side floor

Anyway...it is still early here so I cant really call any shops, but does anyone know how much it would cost to replace a window of that size? :hs:

I've seen that done before. The bastard wanted to steal the car, but not have the attention of a shattered window.

Depending on the glass shop that could get it. A brand new one could cost almost 200 bucks and a 'used' one about 135 installed. You would think that something that small wouldn't cost so much, but it does.

Ouch. If there was full coverage on the car...would it be worth it to have insurance pay? Eddie, where are you? h:

call your insurance company and ask if glass is included in your policy. Both in FL and in MA, my coverage covered ALL glass for free...no deductible or police report needed. I just made a call, and they came out to my work.

I wouldn't claim that. An attempted theft with break in will raise your rates. :hs:

is the Camry pictured accurate? (same year / model)

My car has been attacked 3 different times and it hasn't affected my rates at all.
