Sounds like you're about to kill your probably already weak tranny too.

You call those problems? My CRX is probably more of a PITA than yours and I don't care, I just keep fixing it. Whether this is admirable or a waste of money is subjective. h:

 Maybe I better change my plans on getting a CRX. I love how they look though. Its hard to find them by me for mid 2k, or at all.

They are a dying breed. Most unfortunate too because they are fun little cars but anything as old as them is sure to have problems.

I wouldn't buy one unless I was planning on doing a full restore on one. I think the Vigor is such a bastard because of it's age too...engine rebuild or not.

The Civic hasn't been bad, but then again it hasn't seen a lot of road time since I've had it.

I know man, I am real reluctant to sell it but I just feel that it is time for me to get something a little newer and more reliable. The Rex served its purpose well and I have no regrets at all, but the problems seem to just come all at once and never just one at a time. If I was still in Cali i wouldn't sweat it as much because I had a whole garage with lifts and just about any tool I needed at my disposal. Here in NY I have nothing.

I guess I might go with an older civic hatch. I can't spend more than 2.6k on a car and I want a hatch.

Good luck fixing it or making a decision.

My car is starting to feel beat. I notice chassis flex more and more. I dunno if it's because I'm getting better at pushing it hard, or if the metal is fatiguing, or maybe both. Some reinforcement and coilovers are in order, I can't stand how soft it is.
