Your GF has a reason to defend him. Either she has a thing for him, or he's got something to hold over her head.

 

I know I'm jumping in on the conversation a bit late, but I have a few ideas.

Let me see if I get this straight (The Cliffs Notes Edition), and then I'll ask a few questions I don't think anyone asked yet:

Old friend of your GF gave her extacy (an illegal narcotic)

He lives in Canada - first question... is he a Canadian citizen or US?

Where did the alleged transaction take place? State of NY, USA, or Provice of Ontario, Canada?

If he's a US citizen living in Canada and the transaction occurred in your county, you need to contact your police. No joke. If you know where in Ontario he lives, give the info to the police and they will turn it over to your prosecutor. The prosecutors office can make arrangements with the DEA and Canadian officials to have him extradicted back to NY and face all kinds of drug posession/smuggling/distribution charges. They might even get him on fleeing the country.

If he's a Canadian citizen and this happened in the US, he better not show back up here again. Give the police his info the next time he comes back to the states, and they just might pay him a visit.

If he's Canadian and the transaction took place in Canada, do the same thing only you'd have to drive up to Canada and report it to HIS local police.

Here's the thing, Chris: you have knowledge that he was (perhaps still is) in posession of a certain amount of an illegal substance. That makes you a witness to a crime. Your girlfriend, as the victim, would not necessarily have a say whether or not to prosecute him. That's where you need to step up and tell the police what happened.

You said you wanted to mess him up somehow, right? Let the tight noose of justice do it for you

 

Anybody fucks with my family or girl, and I grab my boys and hunt them down...period. Especially with something like slipping a drug...motherfuckers need to pay for shit like that.

I would not be able to just let this go without some kind of action...legal or otherwise. Something has to happen to this guy though. Your girlfriend may mean well by trying to not get him in trouble, and say she's not going to talk to him anymore...but I guarantee you she will.

 

I'd go with the legal retaliation. If you can get his ass in jail, then his payback will be all the ass pounding he gets.

To avoid problem with the GF - Anonymous tip to the police. You need enough information to give them probable cause to search/arrest his ass and a reason to know that the information you are giving them is reliable. Find out some more info about his drug stuff, like when he makes a transaction or something and then narc on his ass. Actually, if he ever drives around with that stuff in his car, that's the best b/c of the automobile exception to the 4th amendment - that way his rich ass can't hire a good lawyer and get out of his jail ass pounding.

i've been with my girl for almost 4 years and if somebody did that to her i'd be so mad my head would explode. i'd go talk to him with a couple of friends, but i'd tell them to hang back until he hit me first. i'd just talk to him and yell at him but i would want my friends to stay back until he made the first move. f there were no witnesses i don't know how you have much of a case. what he did was illegal, but if you can't prove it... good luck to you bro!

 

In talking to my GF about the situation I saw her viewpoint.

1) She said she is probably really embarassed.
2) Had something sexual happened, it would be completely different.
3) You might live in a small town, or a small group of friends where something like this would ruin them all.

While she understand how a man would respond, she views these as being probable reasons that she doesn't want to pursue it.
