it's only good if:

you're in your car for long periods of time
you have an office with a window and listen to music all day

my old commute was about 80 miles, satelite radio =
my new commute is 30 minutes, satelite radio = :dunno:

If you listen to it too much ... you hear the same songs over and over anyways. Also, you have to like almost all music to take adavantage of the service.

If you don't like hip hop, there goes about 12 stations (top 40 & urban)
If you don't like rock, another 5 out the window.

etc

my problem is that our local radio market sucks ass... we have 1 "hit" station, all top 40 and they beat the piss out of everything they play, we have 1 "modern rock" station which is good but again, beats the piss out of everything, on rock station that is like 70's 80's 90's and new stuff which is probably the best option, 1 decent country station and 1 decent "classic rock" station, again beats the piss out of everything.

seems like they all go to commercial at the same time and sometimes, i get so sick of hearing the same stuff over and over again, i drive in silence....

only reason im contemplating satelite radio is for more variety and less commercials :hsdunno:

A few of my buddies work at Sirius. :hs:

My brother has Sirius in his TL-S, he drives about 2hours a day, so I would say it is worth it for him.

on a side note, Sirius profits sky rocketed last quarter. They're the new leader in satelite radio I believe.

The S has an XM receiver in it...but I don't think I want to pay for the service. I always listen to CD's anyways.
