Default stupid wireless mouse

So I bought the Logitech deluxe setup or something

Model #:Y-RK56 (could just be on the keyboard)

anyway - I've found the keyboard to not be as responsive as I like, but I dont care too much since I have a Nostromo n52 for gaming. And I like the deskspace I can potentially get with a wireless keyboard.

However, the freakin' mouse has a battery life of like 3 weeks. It makes me so angry. The response time is mega-ultra slow and I just want to throw it against the wall - but I wont. So here's my question. What would make a really nice optical-wireless mouse that I can buy separately (because I plan on keeping the keyboard) ? I saw those Labtecs on woot but I dont think they are very good quality.

if you're looking for long battery life go forthe MX600. You can find it only sams club. It's wireless and uses a 800dpi laser sensor. Typical battery life with 2 alkaline AA is 6months. In a pinch you can just use 1 AA.

User Error.

I've been using Logitech wireless mice/keyboards for years. Battery on the mouse needs to be changed 2-3 times a year, if at that.

if you bought it recently it's probably still under warranty. what is the name of the mouse or the name of the keyboard/mouse combo you bought?

I havent change the original AAA battery inside the mouse in almost a year.
