comprehensive(fire/theft) covers vandalism if I'm not mistaken, did on my policy anyway.

Unless State Farm's policy changed, it doesn't here. I had my old Accord broken into and subwoofers taken and they wouldn't cover it.

Might want to look into that, under law they might have to pay if you can prove it was an attempted theft.
