Default hardwood floors anyone?

so we are getting some new flooring put in. i had a question. do you have to leavethe wood there for a week for it to adjust to the new climate and streach and stuff, thats what the guy said. it makes sense but i dunno.. anyone have experience installing this?

we had hard wood floor insalled and was able to walk on it right after

I wood say yes. At LEAST a couple days.

You don't want to lay the wood and then have it expand 2 days later and be all warped and stuff.

Oh and if you lay out the wood (space it out around the house) instead of just piling it in one big pile it'll help it adjust to the temp quicker.

we just got our hardwood floor not too long ago and a couple of boards raised a little bit . but the guy came back and put new pieces in no problems since

dad disnt want pergo. so yea. we have wood now but it was damaged by the carpet and the cleaning of it, so we are getting new floors. i'd rather have carpet cause the wood is alot colder but oh well.

Usually if they are freshly varnished then yes, but just laying the wood you can walk on it.

NO MY QUESTION was if it has to lay for a while to adjust to the temp...
