In a few years everyone is going to be walking around with that shit, and base their whole life on it. No more real human intereaction lol... I cant wait!

I've been watching the drama unfold on engadget.com and I've been thinking about it and I really freaking want one. I realized it's a computer for people who already have a computer. I have a desktop PC that I can use for serious PC use (data entry, work, gaming) but I have a laptop that I use to browse the web on the couch or just browse forums and something with that formfactor would be a lot more convienent. I have an Samsung i730 smartphone but the 280 wide screen just doesn't really cut it.
I don't think you'll be seeing use like the video until they resolve the power issues. The first generation units that are coming out now (there's 3 companies) are probably going to be around $800-$1500 depending on features (GPS reciever, processor, HD size) and will probably only last 2-3 hours. Supposvely the next generation version of these devices (probably 12-15 months off) is being designed to cost around $500 and last for 8 hours on battery. Should be some pretty cool stuff.
Edit: oh yeah, check out the pimp onscreen keyboard.
