Default hondaautomotiveparts.com rant

Why is it when you order stuff from websites they never disclose the fact that the item isnt in stock!.
I fricken ordered a heater resistor for my heater. I ordered this Sunday afternoon with next day delivery terms. So I expected to receive this on Monday / Tuesday. No later than Tuesday/ Wednesday.

So I email them and they reply that it will be shipped out tomorrow 3/10.
Uhhhh..........whatever happend to me being told its not in stock?????

last year and the year before i had alot of problems with that site. really bad. it got so bad i had to email them to see if i was ever going to get anything. that would be their cue to process and mail me my order. it would take weeks to see anything from them. i paid overnight for something and got it 3 wks later.. no they do not tell u they r out of stock on anything. oh, i liked your engagement ring choice on the other thread. just now remembered it.

Internet lesson #1:
Do not order anything "overnight." It's not going to happen.

Yeah, if you need a part that soon, just go to the dealer.

Exactly. Get your bum to a dealership, cough up the dough, and you will get it next day. "Next day" and "cheap" never work together.

Anytime an order is placed with an online retailer over a weekend/holiday, don't expect it to be processed until the following business day. This practice holds true for most online retailers, so I don't understand your complaint. As for the item not being in stock...sometimes it pays to call in advance and check on the inventory of an item if it's obscure or a big seller.
