southwest trip....
i'm thinking of going down to the Southwest for spring break... arizona, maybe texas.... anyone been to the grand canyon? and wat is there to do besides hiking and sightseeing?? i wanna do some rafting, but it seems tht most of the rafting companies charge $700 - 1000 for a 2 day expedition.. pls help me plan my trip! this is my last spring break, so let me have fun!
I went to arizona and the grand canyon last summer. I thought it sucked, mainly because it was 116 outside, and the hotels anywhere near the grand canyon would cost you your right nut. But im sure it would be more enjoyable now that the temperatures would be a little bit more mild. Im suggesting you stay in the San Ignacio at Green Valley Arizona (45 miles south of tuscan.) There are a lot of malls, and about a paintball arena everywhere you look. Also, the security is high as hell in that part of arizona (due to illegal immigrants crossing the border) The best thing about it was, you could just hop on a bus and ride into mexico.
^^thanx for the help, but green valley is kinda out of the way for this trip...... however, my gf and i are def hitting up these three places:
1. lake havasu
2. chandler (some dude ranch thingy)
3. phoenix/ surrounding areas
4. grand canyon (which rim do u guys recommend?)
5. las vegas
tht will be the sequence we'll be goin in... but as usual, she wants to do some shopping... so, skabone and jschmid, do u guys know of any good shopping places in phoenix or surrounding areas?? and what else is there to do around phoenix?
we'll prob be leaving on Weds/ thurs next week, depending on finals.... still debating if i should bring my car tho
