thats teh best part, i got everything for a mere 270.00, seats are spotless tho!


the story is, i just decided to call around and find a ex cluster w/tach since my dx doesnt have one, so i call up and dude is like yeah i got an 00 ex with 55,xxx miles on it come get it 50 bucks, so i was like word thats a pretty nice deal. so as im there hes like go check out the 00 coupe, so i go out and look at this coupe and it has full armrest full 00 console in it, hes like 20 bucks for the whole smear, i was like hell yeah dude, ill take it. so i went ripped it out, came back in and payed for it. dudes like oh i got this gsr thats gonna be out there in 3 days come back and check it out, then he was like you know what ill show it to you now, i was like yessss. figured it would have cloth but nope had leather, he was like 200 for fronts and backs, I instantly laughed to my self and was like ummmmmmm alright ( i didnt want to seem toooo excited) so i snagged em up. i think it was one hell of a deal, that i couldnt pass up. also got front map lights, and moon roof and power mirror switches (freebie). so yeah i figured i scored!


cliffs, went to buy cluster for 50.00
dude at yard sold me whole arm rest/console thingy outta a 00 civic for 20 bucks
then dude mentioned gsr in back garage
i saw it had leather and dude said 200.00 for all of it.
i bought it all for 270.00 /end cliffs

do it dude, you wont regret it, alot of people cry about the added weight, i say well f-that i want the pimpness of it and will sacrafice, ya know? whats another 6lbs or so?

i was suprised tho on mine, there is little to no wear on the drivers- side bolster, thats what seal the deal 4 me!

Hmmm... the only problem I can see is finding a set of seats that are in good condition. The ravages of sun and low-humidity make the odds of finding a good set at a junkyard rather slim. h:

Since my side bolsters are in good shape, re-covering the original seats would make more sense IMO. At any rate, congrats on the score. :goodjob:

 

yeah, true. Its like kinda right place right time thing, only thing about mine is the back window was blown out, so there was a puddle of water below my rear lower seat, and the fukkin foam kinda soaked it all up, i know that the seat hasn't be wet/dry/wet/dry it just got wet a few days ago and has stayed wet, so im thinking if dryed out properly it would'nt stink of mold/mildew. the guy at the junk yard recommended placeing it next a dehumidifyer for 3 days or so and he said they will be mint, and if im not satisfied with them he would give me a complete refund. i checked the leather and it didnt seem to saturated or even wet for that matter, it was just the foam.... well i got them next to a dehumidfyer so im hopeing for the best.... do you have any tips on drying them out so there is no stank? oh and thanks menG! good luck to you!
