Default Computer Crew- Monitor help

My lcd monitor just went black all of a sudden. It powers up, but when disconnected it no longer says 'no signal'. Three year old Samsung. Did it just give up the ghost?

I tried it with another computer, nothing. It used to say 'no signal' when it was not plugged into a computer, now it is all black.
