"Im on another call, Im letting you go with a warning"
Officer -- "I pulled you over because you have no front plate and a modified exhaust."
Me -- "modified exhaust?"
Officer -- "You know you cannot modify your exhaust to make it louder right? You know you cannot right?...you know?"
Me -- "I know. But my exhaust is not modified. I have paperwork for it"
Officer -- "Paperwork?, let me see your licence and registration"
<< Mr. Officer goes and runs my papers in his car.... >>
<< I get my RSR-EXMAG paperwork out of my glove compartment. >>
5 minutes later....
Officer -- (sees me holding my paperwork) "That wont be neccessary, Im on another call, Im letting you go with a warning. GET THAT FRONT PLATE FIXED. This is a warning!"
Me -- "Sure thing, thanks, have a good evening"
Officer -- "You have a good evening"
<< Officer steps over to talk to a "friend" of some sort in the parking lot of the business complex I pulled into blocking me in from behind>>
5 minutes later, he pulls out of the lot so I can finally pull out of the parking space he blocked me into.
...I understand he's doing his job, but this is just plain ridiculous. I was driving 35 mph speed limit at 2500 rpms in third gear on an RSR EXMAG. (Flat black finish with a very very soft exhaust note) I was a block away and I noticed him speeding up and weaving through congested traffic to pull me over. He went out of his way to nab me for my "modified exhaust" Keep in mind the CA. vehicle code says: "exhaust note cannot exceed 95 db at 50 feet" My exhaust note is quieter than most factory SUVs and current factory sport compact cars.
I'd never thought I'd get pulled over for something ridiculous as this. Im glad he just let me go without a fix it ticket too. :happysad:
