No, I'm not talking about when they disconnected her feeding tube. I mean how long did she live on the tube for? She wasn't eating solid foods for a long time but she was still alive.

Well, like e3Nine said - you could probably live off of that nutrient gel via IV, but not for very long. Your body would eventually start to break down and just become incredibly weak.

she lived for a long time (1990 is when she collapsed I think) on just a feeding tube. But only 13 days when they removed it.

Well than that answers the question of the thread. It is possible to live on liquid food for years.

Yeah his main question was just drinks, not liguid food. So the answer is "no", you would be able to "live" for a couple weeks but you would probably have no energy, your electrolytes would become fucked up and your pancreas wouldnt be able to regulate your insulin and your organs would slowly shut down and you would die. I dont know whether they took out her "feeding" tube or her "breathing" tube but either way its a horrible way to die when your life is in someone elses hands.

but lets say if thier is a drink that has all of the nutrients that you need.
would you need food?
quote from e3nine
""Solid food and liquid food are all the same when it gets into your gut.""

What is the difference?

V8 juice is a drink, but it has tomatoes, carrots and a bunch of other vegetables in it. Those vegetables are normally solid food.
