Thread evolution
Anyone ever notice there is a definite formula to how a tread evolves and grows?
Most threads start off with a general topic.
This topic generates on average 4 responses before it begins its slide into general crap.
this usually is begun with some childish sexual reference, a pick on someones grammar of some kind, or just a general inflammatory comment.
Once this happens the original topic is lost and the masses jump on the individual of choice like sharks to blood. Picking and finding fault until one of several options happens:
Thread loses interest (not likely as long as someone replies)
or
Thread is closed
Usually it results in the latter.
With political threads it almost always does fine as long as the beginning party is represented singularly and there is no deviance of thought on the subject.
Of course at some point a member of opposing view jumps in and the reference to Hitler is made and then it is all bets off usually declining to name calling, party bashing, or some other childish banter.
I hve looked at and participated in a lot of threads and have found this to be the general rule, and it is rare for a thread to last through the first page without one of these deviances to show up.

i kinda agree, its awesome to have some place where you can voice your opinion about something, I really like to hear other peoples opinions on a subject and i am also really open minded . but when u have ppl who believe that they are right AND that everybody else is wrong then that crap starts and everybody jumps in.
The thing that kinda gets me is if lets say person A says 2+2=3 and person B says 2+2=4 , sure person B is right but then after that Person A will get really mad and then start getting personal because s/he believes they are 100% right all the time and will not admit to being wrong or atleast see and respect the other persons opinion and thus the bitch fighting starts
its kinda funny to look at threads were ppl fight about stupid stuff like spelling

Some people are just contrary and difficult by nature. The internet allows you to do this anonymously. Sort of like a mean drunk. Not bad normally, but when they get some booze to drop their inhibitions, they want to kick everyones ass. At least with internet trolls, you don't end up with them vomiting in your car, or punching you in the eye
