my dad bought one along with a bunch of other stereo stuff for when we moved to Greece in '92...he probably bought it earlier than that, but we didn't have any CDs (I don't even think I knew what they were), so it just collected dust. We didn't actually buy one to use till 1994...I bought Vitalogy the same day.
