So I've been talking to a guy from my county’s local paper. Basically just asking him some questions and such about getting photos published and all this other nonsense..

Anyways, he told me to send him some of my work and he was really digging it. I had shot an AutoX in the county and sent him some of my autoX pictures as well and put some captions on them. He told me that he wanted to use a couple of my shots in the local paper (which comes out today).

We had a lot of accidents and other crap going on, so It didn’t make it in, but he said it would be in Friday's edition of "The Record" a smaller paper in the county.

I went and dropped off a CD full of the High res. pictures to him, and he was super cool. Telling me to come back and he'd give me a tour, show me how things worked, maybe even a internship. He told me to keep sending him stuff that I would work in the paper!

So its pretty cool, I'm pretty pumped up. My major is Mass Communications/Journalism...so that would be a great internship!

Anywho. Here are the photos... he said atleast two are going in out of these.

I see you've discovered how to crank your saturation way up. I think those cones burned my retinas.

Well it's not really that bad when you consider the medium it will be printed to, since newsprint sucks up saturation like a sponge and they will actually probably look slight undersaturated in final print

Knowing the camera includes knowing the print medium you are selling to.
