GAIM, on my system, uses about HALF the memory that AIM uses. That's including some plugins and 4 accounts signed on right now. GAIM can do more in less space. Why did AIM need 30MB of ram just to have me signed on? AIM is a hog.

I don't get ad's. I don't get AOL invading my pc. I don't have to worry about all the extra junk that gets put on by AOL. AIM would crash probably once a week or every other week, it would just start eating up ram untill it killed itself. GAIM doesn't have that problem, GAIM only gets restarted when the whole pc gets restarted. It's much more stable, smaller, more efficent, does more of what I want.

GAIM > AIM
