i dont think you wuld hit the plate because in most crasher, the back end hoes up and the fronmt end dives because of stepping on the brakes extremely hard and/or the front end just smashes the other.

so the head would most likely hit the center to top of the windsheild because the person will fly somewhat in an upwards patytern

If you don't believe me, go try it then shoot yourself.
Yay for Newton's 3rd law...people work on your physics. Everything is going at the speed of your car and when the car stops everything else continues until that object receives an outside force.

and what if the car is in a side impact? Wont the plate possibly go flying sideways. towards possibly the driver? what about a head on collision wont that cause the plate to go back towards teh passenger?

I personally dont see how it is worth it to take even the smallest chance just to put the plate in the window

Physics or anything else aside, putting your front tage on the dash in the windshield looks ghetto as hell.

the real question is if the car is standing on runway that can move (some sort of band conveyer). The car moves in one direction, while the conveyer moves in the opposite direction. This conveyer has a control system that tracks the car's speed and tunes the speed of the conveyer to be exactly the same (but in opposite direction)... Will the license plate take off or not?
