anybody else like that? maybe if i actually had something to do with my day.... but to lay around feeling sorry for myself, only to get my check next week and take a hit for not working.... not worth it....

 

i feel your pain bro been sick for a 3 days now every once in a while i end up running to the bathroom and throwing up. this sucks

Yeah, but even with salary you don't get paid as much as you would if you were working regular hours. At least not here in the government.

And I've been sick for a full week now I know how you feel.

 

i get the same pay rather i work 5 days a week or if i work 2 days a week.....

 

:werd: dont have to actually go to work and still get paid.

 

if i keep my week to 40 hours, it makes no difference cuz id use personal time to make the difference... except that my personal time is spent laying around feeling sorry for myself instead of out enjoying myself come summer... but since im working tomorrow, i wouldnt be able to get OT if i didnt work today... and i cant really afford to miss that opportunity when it comes around.

 

i cant get overtime, theres time i work 20 hr weeks, others im working 60-70 hr weeks, same exact pay

 

It's just different wherever you work, I suppose. For example, if I work 40 hrs/week for 2 weeks without taking a personal/sick day my check comes out to be $800. But if I were to take one sick day and one personal day, my check would come out to be $700-something. I still get paid for those days I was out, but not as much as I would get paid if it was a regular 8 hrs day. It's weird.

 

my company just stareded this, i got salary and ot. ot only starts after 40hrs/week.
