ING is pretty awesome, IMO. They've been making me money for a while now. Not much since I don't have much in there, but it's better than letting it rot away at PNC bank.

ING has 4.75 special for a few months... sure beats the fraction of 1 percent regular bank saving's accts have.

and for the beneficiary thing... just give your spouse or parents your login info n' shit... and they can transfer all funds back to your checking account(which i assume has a beneficiary listed)

ING is amazing. I signed up last spring because of LT, and my rate steadily increased. I think I signed up at 3.0% and now I'm getting a steady 3.8%. No complaints at all.

the rate goes up for everyone... i opened my account when it was at 2.75... and it sure beats the fraction of 1 percent regular bank savings accounts offer.

Yeah, I know it does...and it can't keep going forever, which sucks, but having a decent rate is better than the 0.49% my stupid credit union gives me.
