New Car
That was hating, actually. Ive finished 2 years of College, and I ship for Fort Benning to become an Army Ranger May 25. I will have the money to do this without even touching my stocks. I have worked fulltime since I turned 17, usually 70+ hours a week. I understand money, I understand purchasing an expensive car might not be THE best choice, but its not a BAD one. I was quoted at 2800 a year for insurance on a Z, so thats also not an impossible number. I pay 2500 on my Civic as it is, full coverage. I have paid my tuition up to this point, im not one of those bitches that gets its all handed to them, I have worked my ass off up to this point, so please dont question my financial stability or understanding. Yes, I am 19. Young and stupid? Maybe. I just want something that I can enjoy in the sun down in good 'ol Georgia.
... Once again, 4 years in the army, haha. I will be getting one "Slightly" used, under 30k miles though. The $7k is a component of my signing bonus, the rest is going to sit with my retirement and stocks.
dont buy into the new car hype at the age of 19, it's stupid.
go and get yourself a straight of the lease vehicle, they are cheaper, inital depreciation has already occured, and you have extra money to mess with to have assurance you'll be able to find yourself a house or something later on.
:edit:
did i forget to mention girls dont know the difference between a 5 year old car and a new one if it's in good shape? hell you wont even be able to know the difference, except that you wont have to wait a month before you can romp on it.

hmm...if you're confident that you'll do fine with the car payments and everything then go for it. You'll know later down the line if you made a mistake or not.
I'm in college, but I saved up for 2 years and traded in my navigator for my car. I can't talk about my insurance though because it's a little high.
